These Terms & Conditions govern all group transport services provided by Continental Coaches Ltd (“we”, “our”, “the Company”). By booking with us, you (“the hirer”, “you”, “your”) agree to the following:
1. Bookings & Payment
- All bookings must be confirmed in writing (via booking form, email, or online system).
- A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure any booking.
- The balance must be paid no later than [30 days before travel], unless otherwise agreed.
- Payments may be made by bank transfer or other agreed methods.
- Prices are based on the details provided at the time of booking. Extra charges may apply for additional mileage, waiting times, tolls, parking, or changes to the agreed itinerary.
2. Cleaning & Damage Bond
- A refundable cleaning/damage bond may be required for certain bookings (e.g., proms, festivals, late-night events).
- The bond will be refunded in full provided the vehicle is returned in a reasonable condition.
- Deductions may be made for cleaning, spillages, damage, or misuse.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- All cancellations must be made in writing.
- The 25% booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Refunds on the remaining balance depend on notice given:
- More than [30 days] before hire: full refund (minus deposit).
- 14 days] before hire: [50%] refund (minus deposit).
- Less than [13 days] before hire: no refund.
- If we are unable to fulfil the booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., breakdown, driver illness), we will offer a full refund or suitable alternative vehicle.

4. Passenger Conduct
- The hirer is responsible for passenger behaviour.
- The driver is in charge of the vehicle and their instructions must be followed.
- Smoking, vaping, illegal substances, and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
- Food and drink may only be consumed with prior agreement along side a cleaning bond.
- Any damage caused will be charged to the hirer (deducted from the cleaning bond if applicable).
- Seatbelts must be worn while vehicle is in motion.
5. Safety & Compliance
- All vehicles are licensed, insured, and maintained in line with PSV regulations.
- All drivers are properly licensed and trained.
- We comply with all driver working time and rest regulations.
6. Schools & Safeguarding
- Drivers allocated to school trips are DBS-checked where required.
- The hirer must provide adequate adult supervision for minors.
- Our staff and drivers are not responsible for acting in loco parentis.
7. Luggage & Belongings
- Reasonable luggage is permitted within vehicle safety limits.
- We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.
- Hazardous or illegal items are not permitted.
8. Liability
- Our liability is limited to the cost of hire.
- We are not responsible for consequential losses (e.g., missed flights, trains, or events).
9. Accessibility
- Accessible vehicles are available by request (subject to availability).
- Please advise us of any mobility needs at the time of booking.
- Service animals are permitted with advance notice.
10. Force Majeure
- We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including traffic, weather, road closures, strikes, or emergencies.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
